Face of the Day with Bare Minerals True Romantic Eyeshadow Palette

I lost my blogging mojo last week but I am back and feeling rejuvenated!

With the exception of the lipstick, this is the makeup look I have been wearing for the past two weeks. I thought I had better document it, before it changes again ;)

Face

Foundation
MAC Face and Body Foundation in N3 mixed with NARS Copacabana Illuminator
When I studied Theatrical/Media makeup back in the day, my tutor recommended this foundation to me and since then I have always had a bottle around! I love Face and Body but it wont be for everyone, its an extremely runny foundation and gives a very light coverage. I don't tend to wear this in Winter as the coverage is not enough, but in the Summer this makes your skin look amazing. It gives you a beautiful glow, especially when mixed with a blob of the NARS Illuminator, which I am currently obsessed with as well.

Concealer
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC3
As Face and Body does have such a light coverage this concealer is needed for certain areas, like the chin!

MAC Prep & Prime Highlighter in Light Boost
I use this under my eyes and in the centre of my face to brighten.

Bronzer
Guerlain Terracotta Moisturising Bronzing Powder in 00 Makeup Artist
Another beauty product I have used on and off for years, one of the best matte bronzers you will find.

Powder
Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot
This setting powder is growing on me! I only use it on the centre of my face and chin to control the shine!

Blush
MAC Harmony
Still obsessed and still trying to give my chubby cheeks some definition!

Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Beautys Touch
If you are going to America anytime soon make sure you pick this up, guaranteed to give your cheeks a pinky glow! This powder also comes in a more peachy/bronzy colour and I may or may not have just ordered that from Amazon (ssshhh)

Highlighter
Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight
This is the real deal.

Eyes

Eyebrows
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette
Another true love of mine

Maybelline Brow Drama in Medium Brown
I know what you're thinking, where is your Illamasqua Brow and Lash Gel! Well its run out and I need to order a new one! In the meantime I am trying to be good and use this, but it doesn't compare and the brush is so weird. I DON'T LIKE CHANGE!

Eyeshadow Primer
Benefit Stay Don't Stray
This eyeshadow primer is beginning to be the bane of my life, its never ending!

Eyeshadow
Bare Minerals True Romantic Eyeshadow Palette
So I stick by my original review in that you should skip this but seeing as I bought it, I'm going to get some use out of it! At the moment I am enjoying using this due to the colour combination I have created. I apply the gold colour, Head Over Heels all over my lid and underneath the lower lash line. I then go over the top with, Woo Is Me and you get a really pretty rose gold effect.

Mascara
Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara
Not one of Maybellines best mascaras but if you have the patience this does look good after a colour of coats.

Lips

L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash in Lolita
These look like a lip gloss but have the lasting power of a stain on your lips. This is the first one of these I have tried and the lasting power really impressed me. I'm pretty sure these are exactly the same as the YSL Glossy Stains but a lot cheaper. I was genuinely surprised how long this stayed looking glossy on my lips for, only downside is they are quite drying. This is something I noticed after it had worn off and I found myself desperately searching for a lipbalm!

That seems like far too many products for one face!

    1. The palette is pretty but if you have the Urban Decay Naked 3 you dont need this. Gives a pretty effect but that shade in the top right hand corner is seriously crumbly! This is the first eyeshadow palette I have tried by them but I will definitely explore the brand a bit more now x
