The Sephora Pilgrimage

This blog post has taken me so long to write, I feel like Chaucer. Not that I'm comparing The Canterbury Tales to a blog on makeup……

Anyway, my biannual trip to the States and subsequent Sephora pilgrimage has been and gone (sob sob) and as is tradition, I am here to share all the makeup that I did not need, but yet still purchased.

Just don't call it a 'haul'

Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Power C x 30 Vitamin C Brightening Moisturiser

I was planning on repurchasing my beloved Kate Somerville Goat's Milk moisturiser, but this caught my eye instead. The Camu Camu berry has 30 times the vitamin c content of an orange (fun fact) and this moisturiser is meant to revitalise dull, ageing skin. (It doesn't stop you getting a cold though FYI!)

I have used this quite a lot and I do really like it, it has a strong orange scent, which I love. It's slightly thicker than the normal moisturisers I go for, so perfect for this time of year. It absorbs quickly into my skin and gives it a real glow.

FYI, you can buy Peter Thomas Roth products from Beauty Bay in the UK

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil

Excuse me ladies while I hitch up my skirt and jump on this bandwagon. Sunday Riley has been very much hailed in the blogging world, but it doesn't come cheap. I won't lie, I was definitely suckered in by the hype but at £85.00 I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. I decided to buy it in America, as it works out cheaper (I paid $105 which is about £69.00 excluding tax) plus holiday money isn't the same as real money…am I right?

I tried this the first night I got home because my skin just felt so horrible and dry after all that time on a plane. It is a very dark blue colour, which really reminds me of Formula 86 (if you've seen The Witches you will know what I'm talking about.)

It's not a very oily oil, great description I know, but it sinks into the skin quite quickly and isn't greasy feeling. I went to bed, literally expecting to wake up with a new face but instead when I woke up and rubbed my face, I was shocked at how smooth my skin felt. Honestly I was lying there for a good 5 minutes just gently stroking my cheeks (well, no one else will). I couldn't see a difference but I could feel it.

I'm sold and have been using it at least once a week. I imagine a bottle would last about a year, so at least I won't have to think about repurchasing it anytime soon.

In the UK you can purchase this from Space NK

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

This was on my list to find in the US but I didn't realise Sephora stocked it. I was searching all the department stores trying to find it. BTW it's about time Macy's had a serious upgrade, as my friend said its like Allders in Croydon, but worse. Anyway I digress, I ended up stumbling across this in a Sephora in Seattle (woohoo).
This is a spray serum which as well as having skincare benefits, gives your skin the most beautiful radiant glow. I think I remember reading that Kim Kardashian's makeup artist uses this, which is where I first heard about it.
I have only used this once, but the glow was immense, you definitely don't need much of this stuff and its not something I would use everyday, but for special occasions or when I want to look healthy as fuck I will be liberally spraying this.

US only I'm afraid :(

Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist

This was a moment of complete weakness because a) the packaging is adorable and b) they put it right by the till. Tony Moly is a Korean brand and Korea is known for its advanced beauty technology. This isn't a makeup setting spray, more of a reviver if your skin is feeling a bit dry, tired or sensitive. I don't know if it will do anything and I haven't tried it yet, but its in the shape of a bunny so I don't care.

US only (sorry)

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

I ended up getting this in Portland where shopping is tax free (and the men are mighty fine). I had heard good reviews about it and thought what the hell, I'll throw it in the basket. I used it on holiday for a night out and have used it since on a couple more nights out. As you can probably tell for me its a definite night out foundation. Its a medium to full coverage and I just prefer something lighter in the day. This does give you flawless skin, which also photographs beautifully. My new favourite 'special occasion foundation' (how wanky).

Available in the UK from Debenhams

Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer

Another item that was on my list to hunt down, but it proved quite difficult as it was sold out in every Sephora in Canada, but I finally found it in Seattle. I haven't tried this yet as I'm finishing my Tom Ford primer but just from testing this on my hand and the description alone, I am sure I will love it. I hate silicone primers and this is very light, with coconut water (side note, there was a Marc Jacobs coconut water primer which also felt amazing).

This isn't available in the UK yet but its coming early next year!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

You would think that as I now get to write about makeup all day, the last thing I would wanna do is talk about makeup but no, I'm still as obsessed as ever. I love finding out what everyone is using and I always ask my fellow beauty writer, Lucy Parts what she's loving. Lucy has raved about this palette to me before, she's even used two of them up! You can get this in the UK, but I figured it might be a bit cheaper in the US so I waited.
I used this the day after I bought it and I honestly don't know why I didn't try this before. I use this as an all over face powder, swirling my brush in all three colours. As you can tell, I love my skin to look luminous and this does exactly that. Its subtle, there's not glitter or shimmer but I can tell a big difference.

Available in the UK from Space NK

Kat Von D Lock-It Powder Foundation

I have been a huge fan of Kat's makeup line for years but I only bought two things on this trip as everything was sold out everywhere (grrr).
I don't touch up my makeup during the day, but I like to keep a powder foundation in my bag just in case of emergencies and for sweaty nights out.
I haven't tried this yet as I'm still finishing up my MAC Studio Fix powder, but if its anything like the rest of her makeup line, I know I will love it.

Sephora only

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in 'Moonstone'

Word of warning, never 'swatch' one of these highlighters in a shop because if you do, you will have to buy it. I have the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop shade, but I was weak and decided I wanted this one too. Its a bit lighter than Champagne Pop, less gold so you don't need to be as light handed.

Available in the UK from Space NK

Tarte Coloured Clay CC Under Eye Corrector

Once you have used an under eye corrector, its difficult to go back to just a concealer. They brighten dark shadows so much more than regular concealer. My favourite by far is the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque, but I thought I would try this and see how it compares.

Not available in the UK (boo)

(Note - I clearly gravitate towards a certain shade of lipstick!)

Bite Agave Lip Mask in 'Smashed'

You can't get Bite Beauty in the UK, so I was desperate to try something from the brand. The whole ethos behind Bite is that their ingredients are all food graded, so technically you could actually eat them.
Their Lip Mask is their hero product but as I always have to wear some kind of lip colour, I opted for the tinted version. The is basically an amped up version of a regular lip balm. I used this after the plane and it felt very moisturing, plus I loved the sheer red colour.

Sephora only :(

Bite Butter Cream Lipstick in 'Heather'

These lipsticks are 'hand cut' that's why its squared off. Apparently this removes the outer waxy layer of the lipstick, so you are left with the creamy centre. I don't know about all that, I just liked the colour.

Sephora only :(

Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in 'Let Them Eat Cake'

I love the packaging of the new line of Marc Jacobs lipsticks and this was really the only shade I liked. This is my first Marc Jacobs lipstick, so I have nothing to compare it to. The finish is quite glossy and you can build up the colour, depending on how opaque you want it to be.

Sephora only :(

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in 'Lolita'

Really I wanted to try some of Kat's Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks but I kid you not, they were sold out everywhere. I ended up picking this lipstick because Lolita is her cult shade and its normally always sold out as well. I like that these have a matte finish but I have to say, they are definitely more of a drying matte. Make sure you have a lip balm to hand!

Sephora only :(

Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Brush

Another Kat Von D item that was almost impossible to find! I didn't buy her contour palette because I already have the Anastasia contour kit and to be honest I don't ever really contour…who has the time?!
I love the idea of this brush, especially for travel but I have to say I'm not blown away by it. The bristles are soft and it does come in its very own coffin, which is kind of cool, but I just don't think its anything special. I will use it but its definitely not a must have.

Sephora only :(

Kate Spade Walk on Air Rollerball Perfume

So technically I bought this in Nordstrom, not Sephora but never mind. I'm pretty loyal to my Bobbi Brown perfume, so I wasn't looking for a new scent but when I sniffed this I fell in love. This is a very fresh, clean scent, which I like. Its quite light, as the name suggests. I did contemplate getting the full size but decided a roller ball would do.

Available in the UK from Kate Spade

Sephora In the Nude Hair Ties

Because these are the best hairbands. They don't stretch out, snap, or break, but you can still loose them.

Sephora only :(

Anastasia Brow Wiz in 'Caramel'

I have fallen in love with these eyebrow pencils recently. I'm normally super loyal to my Hourglass pencil but I fancied a change and it pains me to say it, but I think I prefer these. Its funny because I tried this a few years ago and hated it, I actually gave it to my friend I dislike it so much. I don't know if its me that's changed or my eyebrows, but either way I love the fine nib, you can draw very fine hairs so your eyebrows looks neat but not drawn on.

Available from Cult Beauty in the UK

Project Pan Update 4 - Halfway Point

So I'm halfway through my year of use up as much makeup as I can, and this is my pile of makeup empties from the past six months.

I explained my reasoning's for this little challenge in this blog post and I'm pretty proud of my progress so far. On average I have been managing to finish about 5 items a month which isn't bad, but that is with consistent daily use. I have found this is making me get a bit boring with my makeup and I have definitely been doing less experimenting, so we will see how the next six months go.

Overall I am still really enjoying this little project pan challenge and project pan videos are my new YouTube addiction! I just find it so satisfying to actually finish something and get my moneys worth from it. I'm not going to go through everything now, as I will save that until the end, but I did add up how much all this used up makeup is worth and so far my total is £641.66!

Here's what I managed to finish in April.

Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Mascara £15.00
This mascara is the bomb.com I bloody love it, I just wish you could buy it in England! This gives me really dramatic lashes and I love that it volumes and lengthens. I intend to buy as many tubes as I can the next time I'm in a Sephora.

MAC Cosmo Lipstick £15.50
I actually bought this lipstick before I started working at Cosmo but the name does mean it will always have a special place in my heart. Cosmo is my kind of rosy brown nude, a great MLBB (my lips but better) shade.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Bronzer in Aphrodite's Shell £24.00
OMG this took forever to finish, pretty much a whole year! This was limited edition from MAC's summer collection last year and they have just released their new Summer collection for this year. Lovely bronzer and the packaging is amazing but happy to have finally finished it.

Clinique High Impact Mascara £8.00
I got this in a Clinique Black Honey set for Christmas but I completely forgot there was a mascara in the set until I found it in my drawer. This is a decent mascara, nothing amazing though and it did smudge on me, which meant it got regulated to the Sunday mascara. FYI Sundays were made for not caring!

Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil in Grey £29.50
I am very torn with these new eyebrow pencils from Bobbi Brown. They have the same design as my holy grail Hourglass pencil, so of course I love them for that and the colour range is really good but I finished this in one month! At £29.50 these don't come cheap, so once I've used up my other one I will be going back to Hourglass.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara £13.00
I know to the average non crazy makeup person, a mascara dedicated solely to your bottom lashes seems ridiculous, but if like me every bloody mascara smudges on you, this is a revelation.

Total used up makeup = £105.00

Face of the Month with MAC Cosmo Lipstick

I have worn the same makeup all month long, that my friends is a world record for me.

I like to change my makeup looks weekly, if not daily, but as there were quite a few products I wanted to use up this month, I decided to see if I could just stick to the same look.

So here's what I have been wearing on my face all month long.

Face

Primer
Rachel K Original CC Cream
I love using this CC Cream as a primer because it smooths out pores and takes down any redness before I apply my foundation. I would love to try some more Korean beauty products, so if you have any recommendations let me know!

Foundation
MAC Studio Fix Fluid mixed with NARS Illuminator in Copacabana
Since taking these pictures I have actually finished my NARS Illuminator which I will really miss as it is the best one I have found. It looks great alone but I just love how it looks when mixed with a foundation. I would highly recommend trying this. I reckon I have about one more application of my MAC Studio Fix Fluid left and I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to using a lighter coverage base.

Corrector and Concealer
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
This Bobbi Brown corrector is amazing for under eye circles and you don't really even need a concealer over the top. MAC's Pro Longwear concealer is a brand favourite and I can see why. It provides great, long lasting coverage, without looking really cakey or heavy.

Bronzer
MAC Extra Dimension Bronzer in Aphrodite's Shell
This was limited edition so no longer available but it is a beautiful, natural looking bronzer. If MAC
re-release these with this years Summer collection I would recommend trying them out.

Powder
Too Faced Primed and Poreless Pressed Powder
I am really not a big fan of this powder. I feel like it leaves my skin looking ashy and takes all the natural glow out of my makeup. Definitely not a powder I would recommend.

Blush
MAC Cremeblend Blush in Something Special
I included this in last months favourites and I am still loving it now. This gives a pretty peach glow to my skin and I love that its not sticky like some cream blushers out there.

Highlight
Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight
My favourite highlighter, I honestly have to restrain myself from applying this over my entire face.

Eyes

Eyebrows
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette and L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Dark Brunette
My favourite brow combo, nothing new here.

Eyeshadow
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink and "Lt Bronze" from the Lorac Pro Palette
I do love a good cream shadow stick. They are so quick and easy to apply in the mornings when you don't have much time and this colour by Bobbi Brown is beautiful. It reminds me of MAC's All That Glitters but in a cream form. I have been loving the Lorac Pro palette recently, particularly this light bronze shade.

Eyeliner
MAC Technakohl Liner in Brownborder
I apply this to my tight line and upper lash line. I just use my finger to smudge this out on my upper lash line, as I'm not a big eyeliner fan and prefer to use it to make my lashes look fuller, rather than creating a sharp line. I much prefer MAC's Teddy eye kohl to this, as I find Brownborder does smudge on me, whereas Teddy stays put.

Mascara
Tarte Lights Camera Flashes and Clinique Bottom Lash
Just like my brow combo, this is my favourite lash combo!

Lips

Lipstick
MAC Cosmo
I am so close to finishing up this lipstick and after wearing it all month long I am desperate for a change. I do love this shade by MAC though and its not one I often hear people talking about. This is my kind of 'nude' lipstick. A muted rose which makes my lips look instantly fuller.

Face of the Day with MAC Cremeblend Blush in Something Special

I have been making a conscious effort to use up makeup for the past few months and overall I am really enjoying it. There is a real satisfaction which comes with actually finishing something and my bag of makeup empties is really starting to grow.
I am finding myself getting bored with some products though, particularly my face products, as they just seem to be never ending.

This is the look I have been wearing for the past few weeks whilst I tried to finish up my By Terry cream eyeshadow in Misty Rock. There are a few products here which I'm nearing the end of and I can't wait to switch them for something else when they are finally finished.

Face

Primer
Rachel K Original CC Cream

This CC Cream is very different from the westernised tinted moisturiser versions we have over here. It makes a great primer as the brightening effect neutralises any redness before you even apply foundation.

Foundation
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation mixed with NARS Illuminator in Copacabana

My foundation and my bronzer are the two things I cannot wait to finish. Now we are coming into Spring, I really want to use a lighter coverage base so I'm hoping I can get this finished by the end of March.
The NARS Illuminator has been a life saviour with this foundation, injecting some much needed glow.

Corrector and Concealer
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

I'm sad because I've almost finished my Bobbi Brown Corrector and I don't quite know what my under eye circles will do without it!
I do really rate this MAC Pro Longwear Concealer as well and I particularly love the consistency, as I can use it both under my eyes and on any spots or redness.

Bronzer
MAC Extra Dimension Bronzer in Aphrodite's Shell

The never ending bronzer continues, but there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Blush
MAC Cremeblend Blush in Something Special

I have been loving this blush this month, it gives the prettiest peachy glow to your cheeks and unlike other cream blushes, isn't sticky at all. A few people have said I look "glowing" with this on and trust me its definitely the blush not me!

Powder
Too Faced Primed and Poreless Pressed Powder

I finally finished my MAC CC Powder and now I have moved onto this Too Faced powder.
I originally bought this last year, but after discovering it photographs terribly with flash photography, it was banished to my drawer. I also find it leaves my skin looking ashy and just leaves it looking so flat. There are far better, cheaper powders out there like the Rimmel Stay Matte, but as I spent my hard earned cash on it, I'm determined to use it up.

Eyes

Eyebrows
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette and L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Dark Brunette

Nothing new here, just my two faves!

Eyeshadow
By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock with Trick from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

I decided to add Misty Rock to my items to finish up list because I didn't have much left after using it so much last year. Possibly my favourite ever cream shadow, this is such a unique mauve/taupe colour, which gives your eyelids the most beautiful glossy sheen. Every time I wear this, at least one person will ask what eyeshadow I'm wearing, so it must be good!
I have switched it up a little though and have been applying Trick from the Naked 3 palette over the top. Gold and purple might sound like a weird combo but it works so well. Trick is my favourite shadow in the palette and I am genuinely concerned what I will do when its all gone!

Mascara
Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Mascara and Clinique Bottom Lash

I can't even remember my life before these two mascaras! Like my brow products, these are the creme de la creme.

Lips

Lipstick
MAC Lipstick in Cosmo

I promise I didn't buy this lipstick just for the name! This is one of my favourite MAC lipsticks and its a very 'me' colour. This is a slightly darker my lips but better shade and its an amplified finish, so its extremely pigmented.
I have never actually finished up a MAC lipstick so I'm hoping this will be the first!

Face of the Day with Lorac Pro Palette

One of the things I love about having this blog, is that I can use it like my own personal makeup diary. If I'm stuck for inspiration or trying to remember what products I have loved and forgotten, I can scroll back through here and the memories come flooding back. That's one of the reasons I also love
Face of the Day posts. I change my makeup so often that I forget some of the looks that I've done, that I love.

This is the makeup I wore when I went on a night out last week and I was so chuffed with it, that I did it again the next day to post on here!

Face

Primer
Rachel K Original CC Cream
This CC cream makes such a good primer because its smoothing without having that horrible silicone slip.

Foundation
MAC Studio Fix mixed with NARS Illuminator in Copacabana
I have been using this foundation combination for the past month and whilst I've actually had a few compliments on my skin, I can't wait until I've finished up Studio  Fix and can use something a bit lighter. Studio Fix does give you flawless skin but its heavy and I just want to use something fresher.

Corrector and Concealer
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I am still using and loving my Bobbi Brown corrector but I am now onto a different concealer, as I finished both the Collection one and the Dior BB eye creme. I've had the MAC Pro Longwear concealer a while, so figured it should be next on my list to finish. This really is a very good concealer, it covers everything without looking cakey or heavy and I can use it under my eyes, as well as on the rest of my skin. I can see why this is raved about so much.

Powder and Contour
Anastasia Contour Kit
I only tend to use this if I'm doing my makeup for a night out, or for 'special occasions' but whenever I do use it, I absolutely love it. Contouring and highlighting really can do amazing things for your face, but its not something I would want to do on a daily basis.

Blush
MAC Peaches
One of my all time favourite blushes and a MAC classic. Peaches is a matte peachy pink, its bright without being overpowering.

Eyes

Eyebrows
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette and L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper
The usual!

Eyeshadow Primer
NARS Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base
The best eyeshadow primer, plus a tube of this lasts forever!

Eyeshadow
'Cream' and 'Taupe' from the Lorac Pro Palette
I have been reaching for my Lorac palette quite a bit recently. I think its because I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos with people who are taking part in the 'Pan that Palette' challenge and the majority of them are trying to completely finish this palette by the end of the year. While I don't know if I'm quite ready to commit to the challenge, especially when I'm trying to use up so much other makeup, I am enjoying using it. For this look I used two of the matte shadows from the palette, Cream and Taupe.

Eyeliner
MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy
Fun fact, Teddy and Prunella are my two all time favourite eyeliners and they are both from MAC. Teddy is a bronzy brown which is so much more flattering than black on the eyes. I apply this on the outer corners and smudge out with my finger.

Mascara
Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Mascara and Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
I was going to wear false eyelashes but as I ran out of time I opted for my beloved Tarte mascara. It gives so much volume, you don't need falsies.

Lips

Lipstick
Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation in 'Au Naturel'
If you are a fan of MAC matte lipsticks, Velvet Teddy, Kinda Sexy, Honeylove etc then you will love these Lip Foundations by Buxom. They don't dry your lips out and I only had to reapply once throughout the night. I have the shade 'Au Naturel' but these Lip Foundations are at the top of my list to try when I get to a Sephora later in the year.

Face of the Day with Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow in Taupe

As you know I'm currently on mission to use up my makeup, particularly some of the older products that I've had for a while, that I'm not overly fussed about. I'm still really enjoying my challenge at the moment, although there are a few products which I wish would just hurry up and finish.

You might recognise a few of these products, definitely a few throwbacks in here!

Face

Primer
Rachel K Original CC Cream 'Fair'
I discovered this a few years ago through LisalisaD1 on YouTube. I love her and could sit and listen to her accent all day! I wouldn't wear this CC cream on its own but it makes the best primer.
I hate any silicone primers, as I feel like my makeup slips right off. I love the Rachel K because its smoothing without any of that slip. The whitening benefits also mean that it takes out any redness in your skin prior to foundation and concealer, so you use less product.
I really do enjoy this but its difficult to get in the UK. I think I bought mine from eBay a while ago but Rachel K's website does offer worldwide shipping.

Foundation
MAC Studio Fix mixed with NARS Illuminator in 'Copacabana'
I have had this foundation sitting in my makeup drawer for years! Studio Fix is really not my kind of foundation, don't get me wrong I get why people love it. Its full coverage, lasts all day and you don't really need to powder, but for me its just too much, plus it smells like paint, to be honest it probably is paint! Anyway I need to use this up and like I said, its not bad, its just not my favourite.
I have been mixing it with the NARS Illuminator to try and make it a bit lighter and give it more of a glow. It does cover everything though, I'm worried that if I use it for too long I will be converted!

Corrector and Concealer
Bobbi Brown Corrector in 'Light Bisque' and Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme
If you suffer from bad under eye circles, you need to try one of Bobbi Brown's Correctors, the difference is amazing. This Dior BB Eye Creme on the other hand is really nothing special. I didn't like this when it launched a few years ago, but as I'm trying to be good I thought it was finally time I used this up. Really would not recommend, far better under eye concealers out there and for a lot cheaper.

Bronzer
MAC Extra Dimension Bronzer in Aphrodite's Shell
The never ending bronzer, I like it but after 6+ months I'm ready to use something else!

Blush
Luna Twilight Bella Palette
Now this is a blast from the past, I don't think you can even buy these anymore.
So, out of the Twilight Saga, New Moon was by far my favourite. I was obsessed with that film and no, sadly I wasn't 14 when it came out! Lets just say I could relate to Bella, except I didn't have a hunky werewolf to fix up motorbikes with. ANYWAY, I loved her makeup and hair in New Moon. You know I'm a sucker for a warm toned neutral and that film was all about the warm toned neutrals! To cut a long story short, these makeup palettes were released, with a palette for each character and of course I bought Bella's. All jokes aside, this is probably the most wearable makeup palette I have ever owned, as you can tell from how much I've used!

Powder
MAC Prep & Prime CC Compact
The never ending bronzer, meet the never ending powder! I can't wait till I finally finish these two and can use something else.

Eyes

Eyebrows
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in 'Soft Brunette' and L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper in 'Dark Brunette'
My ride or die brow duo.

Eyeshadow Primer
NARS Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base
Like my brow duo, this doesn't change!

Eyeshadow
Bobbi Brow Sparkle Eyeshadow in 'Taupe'
I have become a bit obsessed with these Bobbi Brown sparkle shadows. They are so glittery but not in an obnoxious, I'm 5 and having a Frozen themed birthday party kinda way. Its adult appropriate glitter, that actually looks glossy on the lids. I have noticed that I always get a compliment on my eyeshadow whenever I wear one of these, but make sure you use a good eyeshadow primer because you will end up with glitter all over your face otherwise.

Mascara
Tarte Lights Camera Flashes and Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
I haven't used anything but this mascara combination in the longest time, but I have finally found a new mascara which I like (will put up a post this week).
This Tarte mascara gives such amazing volume and it does not budge, in fact its kind of hard to get off at the end of the day and the Clinique Bottom Lash mascara was a revelation for me, no going back!

Lips

Lipstick
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 'Boy'
I mentioned this lipstick in my January favourites and I actually finished it today (woop, woop, 3rd lipstick down!) While I did really like this lipstick, I doubt I would purchase it again, just because it wasn't anything overly special.

Now to decide what lipstick to use up next!
