I am always raving about the makeup and beauty products I love, but what about the ones that weren't so good?
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
I am definitely guilty of getting caught up in the Naked palette euphoria. I love, love, love warm toned eyeshadows. Anything that's slightly red/orange based is always going to get my vote, as I have blue eyes and warm colours make them stand out more. You have to wonder then, why I bought the Naked 2 palette which is entirely dedicated to cool toned eyeshadows.
The simple answer is I am an imbecile.
It gets worse though...so I bought this palette, remembered I don't like cool toned eyeshadows, never used it and then sold it. About a year later I bought it again.......I cannot even tell you why.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!
This is by no means a bad eyeshadow palette at all, the quality is amazing, its great value for money and the colours are beautiful if you like cooler tones. It just isn't my cup of tea.
Revlon Lash Potion Mascara
One of the worst and driest mascara's I have ever tried. You can read the negative review I did here
Revlon, you let me down with this one
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara
I just reviewed this yesterday but this is a close second to Revlon's Lash Potion as the worst mascara of all time.
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation
I really wanted to love this but it just looks awful one me. This is a gel foundation and I'm really not keen on the texture. No matter how much I buff it into my skin, it never seems to blend and just sits on top of my skin. After a few hours things get worse and it just breaks down on my skin. I am left with patches of foundation and I look like one big shiny, blotchy mess.
This is definitely not the one.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light
Did I just put one of the most popular makeup releases of 2013 in my disappointing products post?
HELL YEAH.
Don't get me wrong, i love the idea of these powders. There are 6 shades available and each shade is meant to emulate different flattering lighting. I picked Radiant Light because who wouldn't want to look radiant?! Sadly I think I picked the worst colour, as Radiant Light is actually quite glittery and on my skin there's no way I could wear it as an all over face powder, its more of a highlighter. I would love to try another one of these powders in a more flattering shade but I just don't think I can justify splashing out another £38.00!
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
Full review here. In summary I just could not stand how this felt on my skin. I honestly think you could have run your finger down my face and all my makeup would have slid off in a perfect streak.
Dior Hydra Life BB Eye Creme
An extremely overpriced under eye concealer, which doesn't do much in the way of brightening. Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch Concealer is ten times better and you could buy 4 of them for the price of one these!
Oh I do love a good moan!
