My 15 Makeup Favourites of 2015

Happy New Year! I hope you all rung in the New Year in style. I spent it with my friends, Chilli Heatwave Doritos and Matthew McConaughey…..
If like me you aren't ready to leave your sofa, let alone your house and the idea of making life plans for the year ahead makes you want to have a nervous poo, don't worry you are not alone.

As is tradition, I wanted to share my makeup favourites from the past year. I love reading/watching these yearly favourite posts…anything that keeps me procrastinating.

1. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (2.5, Warm Sand)
The first Bobbi Brown foundation I've tried and it definitely won't be the last. This is my ideal foundation, it's lightweight, provides a medium coverage and looks natural on the skin. It might be strange to say but I also love the colour of this foundation, Bobbi's foundation's are quite yellow based and I love the warmth this gives to my skin.

2. Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in 'Candlelight'
Still my favourite highlighter, even though I've used it all up *sob sob*
It's just the perfect highlighter, it goes with everything but is subtle enough that it doesn't look obvious. I want my highlighter to look natural, not like I've got huge chunks of glitter on my face.
I am dying to repurchase this, and once I've got a through a few more highlighters I definitely will.

3. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
When someone who works in the beauty industry raves about a product, you listen. My friend Lucy loves this palette (I think she is on her second) and now I know why.
This is a powder for people who hate powders, it sets my makeup and gives me a glow.

4. Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'n' Kohl in 'Barbarella Brown'
I'm not much of an eyeliner person anymore, but every time I go 'out out' this eyeliner makes an appearance. The dark brown colour is much more flattering on my blue eyes than black, it blends beautifully and lasts all night. Truly the only eyeliner I need.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in 'Amazing Grace' and 'Walk of Shame'
My favourite of my favourites, no other lipstick comes close. I love everything about Charlotte's Matte Revolution lipsticks, the square tip is the perfect shape and makes application easy, the matte finish is non drying and makes my lips look fuller and the shade range is my perfect lipstick wardrobe.
I wore 'Walk of Shame' for my entire 2 week holiday and 'Amazing Grace' is the most beautiful pink. Shout out to Bond Girl, which only wasn't included as I haven't had it as long.

6. Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder
I used up 4 powders this year, all of them were more expensive than this powder but none of them were half as good. Besides my beloved Charlotte Tilbury powder, this is hands down the best setting powder and it costs less than a fiver.

7. Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick in 'Formentera'
My makeup favourites are Charlotte Tilbury heavy this year, but I really have fallen in love with her range and it's easily become my favourite makeup brand.
I wore this Beach Stick for most of the summer as it was the perfect russet bronze shade for that 'I've caught the sun over the weekend' look. These cream blushes are ideal if you have oily skin as they are non greasy and dry to an almost powder finish.

8. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer
This concealer is an absolute delight. Ridiculously creamy and you can use it both under the eyes and to cover spots/redness. My favourite thing though has to be the doe foot applicator. I know that might sound ridiculous but it has a little dip in it, so it dispenses the perfect amount of product with no dragging. As you can tell, I love everything about this.

9. NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
After all these years this is still my favourite eyeshadow primer. It does exactly what you want an eyeshadow primer to do, stop your shadow creasing and increase the wear time, plus it's lightweight so it doesn't interfere with whatever shadow you put on top.

10. L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in 'Dark Brunette'
The only brow gel I used all year. It sets and tints and is so much better than the ridiculously overpriced Benefit Gimme Brow.

11. Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara
A very late addition to this years favourites but easily the best mascara I have found this year, possibly ever. This mascara does it all and gives me amazing length, volume and curl, which lasts all day. Obsessed with this.

12. Anastasia Brow Wiz
Anyone who reads my blog will know how loyal I am to the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, but it has finally been eclipsed by the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I did try this eyebrow pencil a few years ago but didn't like it as I felt it was too harsh and I went back to my Hourglass, but I've realised the key is getting the right shade. I am now using the shade Caramel and I love how this makes my eyebrows look full but still defined.

13. Bobbi Brown Corrector
If you struggle with dark under eye circles, forget concealer this is the stuff you need. It honestly makes dark circles disappear.

14. Ciaté Precious Metal Eyeshadow in "Lincoln Road'
As eyeshadow is the one makeup product I change the most often, I always find it hard to pick a favourite but this loose pigment by Ciaté really was a standout for me. Most loose pigments are a messy nightmare, but this has to be the easiest one I've used. It comes with a primer in the lid, which actually works really well and stops you getting eyeshadow all over your cheeks.
This bronzy shade, paired with my Charlotte Tilbury Amazing Grace lipstick is still one of my favourite looks.

15. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
Last but not least, bronzer. I cannot do without bronzer, even in Winter and this Too Faced bronzer quickly became my go to for warming up my complexion. Anyone who knows me will know I'm all about the warm tones and I just love the colour of this bronzer. Not only that but it also makes a great eyeshadow for those of you with baby blues.

Face of the Day with Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eye Colour in Naked Bronze

I have had this face of the post day sitting in my drafts for weeks and I thought I would finally get off my arse, although to be fair I didn't even have to get off my arse (I'm currently horizontal) and write it.

Basically this is all the makeup I slapped on my face to go to the pub the other week. Turns out I needn't have bothered, as we ended up leaving early, getting a subway and getting the last bus home. Side note never let me get a subway again, its a prime example of somewhere I would never step foot in, but after 3 drinks there I am, ordering a meatball marinara on hearty Italian.
Eating meatballs at a bus stop, and I wonder why I'm single!

Base

Primer
Cover FX Illuminating Primer
I am a bit 'meh' about this primer, I don't notice any difference with the wear time of my makeup, it does give a glow when you apply it, but once you put you foundation on it goes. It's not bad, I've just tried better.

Foundation
MAC Studio Fix Fluid
Still loving this foundation, but I will say its not the best in warm weather. I find by the end of the day it feels a bit greasy on my face, but to be fair there's not a lot of foundations that could last all day and endure a sweaty commute.

Corrector
Giorgio Armani Skin Master Corrector Shade 1
Don't buy this, the Bobbi Brown corrector is so much better #justsayin'

Concealer
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer
This concealer is AHHMAZING, round of applause Urban Decay. I know everyone raves about the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer but this stuff is so much better. Its really creamy but still gives great coverage. I can use it both under my eyes and on spots and redness and unlike the NARS one, this doesn't drag on my skin when I apply it. It's love.

Bronzer
Chanel Soleil tan de Chanel
I love this cream bronzer in the summer, it really gives my skin a warm, natural glow. This is strictly a summer product though, it would definitely look OTT come the winter months.

Powder
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pressed Powder
Not my favourite powder there are better, cheaper options out there.

Blush
Clinique Cheek Pop in 'Melon Pop'
These blushes are adorable and this peach colour is very pretty for everyday wear. Completely non offensive with a slight sheen which gives your cheeks a real glow.

Highlight
Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in 'Candlelight'
Extortionately expensive but worth every penny. My favourite ever highlighter, looks really natural on the skin but still has the 'wow' factor.

Eyes

Eyebrows
Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil in 'Taupe'
Good brow pencil and the shade range is massive, but for the price you just don't get enough product. I got through one of these in a month.

L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in 'Dark Brunette'
When it comes to brows I don't dabble, I find something I like and stick to it. This sets my brows and provides an extra tint of colour, I have been using this all year and don't see that changing any time soon.

Eyeshadow
Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eye Colour in Naked Bronze
I'm sorry to be a cock tease because these beauties are no longer available, but they are every bit as beautiful as they look. The cream shadow is pretty but to be honest there are a lot of similar colours out there, I'm thinking Max Factor do a very similar copper shade, but when you add the glitter shade on top, BOOM magic happens. The glitter really reminds me of the glitter shade in the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palettes, so if you have one of those I'm sure you could achieve a similar look.

Eyeliner
MAC Eye Kohl in 'Powersurge'
The best bronzy gold eye liner.
Powersurge, Teddy and Prunella, the only three eye liners you need from MAC.

Mascara
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I hated this mascara with a passion because it flaked so, so badly on me after only a couple of hours. But after a few weeks, the flaking has stopped and I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually think I like it. This gives serious volume instantly…..if you can put up with 2 weeks worth of panda eyes!

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
Pretty much every single mascara ever made smudges on my bottom lashes, so this is a staple for me.

Lips

Lipstick
Illamasqua Lipstick in 'Bare'
This is Angelina Jolie lips in a tube. Thing matte, full and barely there colour, I love it.

Face of the Day with MAC Lustering Lipstick

My Face of the Day posts have been a bit sparse lately, because I keep wearing the same makeup looks!

That's the problem when you are trying to use up makeup, you have to use the same products regularly. I have had a rotation from my last FOTD post though, so thought I would pop an updated one up here.

Base
Dior Nude Glow Natural Glow Complexion Enhancer
This is something that I've had in my collection for ages and I'm pretty sure its now been discontinued by Dior. I apply this before my foundation and it just gives my skin a healthy glow. Its a strange one, as there is no shimmer in it, but the bright peachy colour just gives your skin that healthy look.
I do enjoy this but its definitely not a must have.

Foundation
Dior Diorskin Nude BB Creme
I am still loving this BB Cream. It provides enough coverage for me, lasts all day, doesn't feel like you are wearing makeup and the finish isn't too 'wet' unlike some other BB creams. Love this stuff.

Corrector
Giorgio Armani Skin Master Corrector (Shade 1)
Personally I find the Bobbi Brown Corrector does a much better job of neutralising dark circles under the eyes and would repurchase that over this Armani one in the future. But if you do find the Bobbi Brown Corrector's too heavy, you might like this, as the consistency is much lighter and doesn't crease.

Concealer
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Although I like the lighter coverage the BB cream gives, I do find there are a few areas I want a bit of extra coverage. This concealer is great as the coverage is high but its still really easy to blend. I just hate the pump packaging, as it always pumps out too much product!

Powder
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pressed Powder
Not my favourite powder and one I will be glad to get finished up. It provides good oil control but I just find it makes my skin look ashy.

Bronzer
MAC Extra Dimension Bronzer in Alluring Aquatic
I have finally finished this bronzer, hallelujah! It was actually a really lovely bronzer but after using it for almost a year I'm craving a change.

Blush
Delilah Colour Blush in 'Lullaby'
Delilah is a new makeup brand that I have been eager to try for a while. This blush is such a beautiful spring pink and the texture is lovely. I can't wait to try more from Delilah now.

Highlight
Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight
I go through stages with highlighter and right now I'm a bit obsessed. I have to actually stop myself dusting this over my entire face!

Eyes

Eyebrows
Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil in 'Grey' with L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper in 'Dark Brunette'
I know, where is my Hourglass pencil?! Well I've actually just used it up and I recently went to a Bobbi Brown event, where I got a sample of these new brow pencils.
I was really excited about these, as they are basically the same design as my beloved Hourglass (angled pencil, brush on the other end). I have the colour 'Grey' which obviously isn't the best match for me but paired with the L'oreal Brow Plumper, works fine.
As a pencil I can't fault these and they are great for giving you that full but soft looking brown, also the colour range is vast, which is amazing for eyebrow products. But I will be going back to my Hourglass, purely because I have been using this for less than a month and have almost used it up already.

Eyeshadow
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds
Cream shadow sticks are a staple for me. I have to get ready quickly and these are the quickest things to use, just colour in your whole eyelid and blend out.
This cream shadow stick is super, super glittery and looks so pretty on the eyes. This colour is specifically designed for blue eyes and the gold tones are super flattering. My one complaint with this though, is that the pencil doesn't self sharpen, but for such a pretty eyeshadow I'll get over it!

Eyeliner
Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in 'Grenat'
I believe this was a limited edition colour by Chanel from one of their holiday collections. I find that if you have lighter eyes, black eyeliner is just too harsh. This russet red shade actually enhances my blue eyes whilst giving some depth to my lash line. I'm sure you can find a cheaper alternative though!

Mascara
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
So, I've been using the Better Than Sex mascara for about two weeks now and I will say that it has grown on me but the jury is still out.
Yes this does give super volume and length, but its such a bitch to  apply. I have to really take my time to avoid getting mascara all over my eyelids because the brush is so big and you have to build up layers slowly to avoid a big clumpy mess. It still flakes on me by the end of the day as well.
I am warming up to it, but lets just say, its no Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes!

Left to right: Charlotte Tilbury Champagne Diamonds, Chanel Grenat, MAC Lustering

Lips

Lipstick
MAC Lustering
I know Spring is here when I start reaching for the pinky lip colours.
This is a pretty colour by MAC, but its a lustre finish……Lustre's have a high shine but that means they don't last very long on the lips at all, after a couple of hours I find this has disappeared completely. It doesn't leave behind any colour at all, literally just slips right off and I find my lips feel quite dry afterwards. As much as I like the colour, its one I will be glad to finish.

Face of the Month with MAC Cosmo Lipstick

I have worn the same makeup all month long, that my friends is a world record for me.

I like to change my makeup looks weekly, if not daily, but as there were quite a few products I wanted to use up this month, I decided to see if I could just stick to the same look.

So here's what I have been wearing on my face all month long.

Face

Primer
Rachel K Original CC Cream
I love using this CC Cream as a primer because it smooths out pores and takes down any redness before I apply my foundation. I would love to try some more Korean beauty products, so if you have any recommendations let me know!

Foundation
MAC Studio Fix Fluid mixed with NARS Illuminator in Copacabana
Since taking these pictures I have actually finished my NARS Illuminator which I will really miss as it is the best one I have found. It looks great alone but I just love how it looks when mixed with a foundation. I would highly recommend trying this. I reckon I have about one more application of my MAC Studio Fix Fluid left and I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to using a lighter coverage base.

Corrector and Concealer
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
This Bobbi Brown corrector is amazing for under eye circles and you don't really even need a concealer over the top. MAC's Pro Longwear concealer is a brand favourite and I can see why. It provides great, long lasting coverage, without looking really cakey or heavy.

Bronzer
MAC Extra Dimension Bronzer in Aphrodite's Shell
This was limited edition so no longer available but it is a beautiful, natural looking bronzer. If MAC
re-release these with this years Summer collection I would recommend trying them out.

Powder
Too Faced Primed and Poreless Pressed Powder
I am really not a big fan of this powder. I feel like it leaves my skin looking ashy and takes all the natural glow out of my makeup. Definitely not a powder I would recommend.

Blush
MAC Cremeblend Blush in Something Special
I included this in last months favourites and I am still loving it now. This gives a pretty peach glow to my skin and I love that its not sticky like some cream blushers out there.

Highlight
Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight
My favourite highlighter, I honestly have to restrain myself from applying this over my entire face.

Eyes

Eyebrows
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette and L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Dark Brunette
My favourite brow combo, nothing new here.

Eyeshadow
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink and "Lt Bronze" from the Lorac Pro Palette
I do love a good cream shadow stick. They are so quick and easy to apply in the mornings when you don't have much time and this colour by Bobbi Brown is beautiful. It reminds me of MAC's All That Glitters but in a cream form. I have been loving the Lorac Pro palette recently, particularly this light bronze shade.

Eyeliner
MAC Technakohl Liner in Brownborder
I apply this to my tight line and upper lash line. I just use my finger to smudge this out on my upper lash line, as I'm not a big eyeliner fan and prefer to use it to make my lashes look fuller, rather than creating a sharp line. I much prefer MAC's Teddy eye kohl to this, as I find Brownborder does smudge on me, whereas Teddy stays put.

Mascara
Tarte Lights Camera Flashes and Clinique Bottom Lash
Just like my brow combo, this is my favourite lash combo!

Lips

Lipstick
MAC Cosmo
I am so close to finishing up this lipstick and after wearing it all month long I am desperate for a change. I do love this shade by MAC though and its not one I often hear people talking about. This is my kind of 'nude' lipstick. A muted rose which makes my lips look instantly fuller.

14 Makeup Favourites of 2014

Yesterday I shared my 14 beauty favourites of 2014 and today its time for the fun stuff, makeup. I actually find it really hard to pick my top makeup picks for the year because things like eyeshadow and lipstick I change all the time. I want my end of year favourites to really be the things that I have used the most.

There are no foundations in my favourites this year because I have actually been trying to reduce my foundation collection! Last year I went through quite a few and although some stand out, once I used them up I went onto something different.

There are so many products I could have put in this post but these are the products I have used the most throughout the whole year. You can also compare this years list to lasts years 13 Makeup Favourites of 2013.

1. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Out of all three Naked palettes, this is the only one I really use. I love the rose gold tones of this palette and I always love my eyeshadow whenever I use it. For that reason this was the eyeshadow palette I used on myself when I was a bridesmaid at my Sister's wedding. My favourite look with this palette is 'Dust' over the lid with 'Trick' applied over the top.

2. Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in 'Soft Brunette'
Featured in my 2013 favourites
This year I dabbled with a few other eyebrow pencils to see if there was anything better out there, but I always come back to this. I love the texture and size of the pencil, its waxy and gives a very soft look. I have fuller brows so I don't like a really small, defined pencil.
No more dabbling, I will stick with this now!

3. MAC Eye Kohl in 'Teddy'
I realised how much I loved this pencil when I went on holiday and couldn't find it. I ended up having to buy another one in the airport. I never wear black eyeliner because I find it looks too harsh but this bronzed brown is perfect for adding subtle definition and enhancing blue eyes.

4. Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
I always thought the concept of a mascara purely for your bottom eye lashes was utterly ridiculous. I still think its utterly ridiculous but after trying it, I can understand the appeal! The main reason I love this is because it doesn't smudge at all. Every single mascara I have tried smudged on my bottom lashes, this is the only one that hasn't. I also love that it defines every lash with no clumpiness or smudging.

5. Illamasqua Brow and Lash Gel
Featured in my 2013 favourites
Although I have been using the L'oreal Brow Artist Plumper these last few months, this was the brow gel I used every single day before that. This gives amazing hold and gives you that Cara Delevigne full but groomed brow look that I love.

6. Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage
Featured in my 2013 Favourites
My favourite ever concealer and its all used up *cries*
I call this my industrial strength concealer because it covers anything and it lasts all day, there is a reason that so many makeup artists have this in their kits. I will definitely repurchase this once I have used up my other concealers.

7. NARS Illuminator in 'Copacabana'
When mixed with foundation, this gives your skin the most beautiful glow. It just has the most ethereal sheen to it, with zero glitter. I can't wait to start mixing this with my foundation again in the Spring and Summer.

8. Milani Illuminating Face Powder in 'Beauty's Touch' and 'Amber Nectar'
One thing I discovered about myself last year, is that I don't like really strong, pigmented blushers. I haven't touched any of my NARS blushers in over a year and instead always reach for these or my Physicians Formula Happy Boosters. I love that these are light, so its impossible to go heavy handed. I also love that they have a slight highlight to them as they really give a youthful glow.

9. By Terry Ombre Blackstar in 'Misty Rock'
These Ombre Blackstars are my favourite cream shadows, the stick form makes them so easy to apply and they last all day. I actually think they look even better after a few hours as they look almost glossy on the lid. Misty Rock is a sparkly taupe/purple shade and I often get compliments when I wear this, must be a winner!

10. NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
The best eyeshadow primer, makes any eyeshadow last all day and I love the thin consistency of this compared to other, heavier eye primers.

11. Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in 'Candlelight'
Featured in my 2013 favourites
One of my all time favourite makeup discoveries. I think I actually might be addicted to this highlighter! Its very subtle, with no glitter so looks much more natural than most highlighters. I wear this every single day.

12. Charlotte Tilbury Air-Brush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro Powder
A pressed powder isn't usually much to get excited about but this pressed powder is like something made by Angels and sent from the heavens. Before I digress anymore and start sharing my love for David Boreanaz, let me tell you why. First of all it feels like velvet on the skin, its so finely milled and soft that it is a genuine pleasure to apply. Second of all, it keeps my skin shine free all day without any touch ups and thirdly the rose gold compact is to die for.

13. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in 'Dolce Vita'
I have to admit that I am a little upset right now because whilst googling a link for this pencil I have discovered that NARS have discontinued it! Whilst crying into my pillow, let me tell you why it is amazing and why NARS are absolute fools!
So you know the film The Notebook, of course you do! Well I became obsessed with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams lipstick, it was this muted rosy, matte red and just looked generally amazing. Dolce Vita is that colour, the colour I was dreaming about all that time! I love the formula of the Velvet Matte Lip Pencils as they don't feel drying at all and I personally much prefer a matte finish when it comes to lipstick. So, although no man has refurbished a house for me, at least I have a fabulous lipstick collection to cuddle at night!

As I cannot find this online anywhere, try a NARS counter in store as they might still have it (I think I might have to do that tomorrow!)

14. Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Mascara
This mascara has really spoilt me because now every other mascara disappoints me. Not only does this give a ton load of volume, it also gives length and separation and I have never come across a mascara that has done all three before. I can't imagine going back to any other mascara now!

December Favourites

Happy New Year!

I have finally narrowed down my 14 favourite makeup and beauty products of 2014 but before I reveal all, I thought I would share my favourites for the month of December.

Some of these items I haven't had for very long at all but I have been wearing them everyday and I am completely smitten with them, so of course they had to be included!

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush in Natural
I think this was included in last months favourites as well but this and MAC's The Perfect Cheek are the only two blushes I have been wearing consistently.

Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight
Spoiler, this will be in my 2014 favourites as it is one of my all time favourite makeup discoveries. The most beautiful but subtle highlight.

Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eyeshadow in Cement
If you want to see what this looks like on the eyes, I used it in my second NYE makeup inspiration post. This is what I like to call grown up glitter and it actually looks like more of a gloss than a glitter once its applied to the lid.

Sally Hansen Nail Polish in 'Pennies for Heaven'
I have worn this rose gold polish on my nails pretty much all month long and the best thing is, it only cost me £1.50 from a catalogue clearance shop! BOOM.

Charlotte Tilbury Fallen Angel Eyeshadow Palette
Probably the most beautiful piece of makeup I own, even the outer packaging is engraved with hand drawn gold stars! I have one other Charlotte Tilbury palette, The Vintage Vamp and the quality of Fallen Angel is just as good. This palette is limited edition so if you have your eyes on it, grab it while you can!

MAC Rose Pigment
Texture wise, this isn't the best MAC pigment but if you can bear with the chunky texture, you will be rewarded with a beautiful golden pink. I like to wear this with MAC's Tan pigment over the top, together they make the perfect rose gold colour.

Guerlain Maxi Shine Lip gloss in '467 Cherry Swing'
I'm not normally a lip gloss girl, but this sparkly cherry red gloss has changed all that this month. This feels lovely on the lips, not sticky and very moisturising. If like me, you aren't a lip gloss girl, this formula could convert you and if you are a lip gloss, fan then you would love these.

Burberry Lip Definer in 'Brick Red'
This was one of my Christmas presents and its already one of my favourite reds. You can see what it looks like on, in this post.

Dior Star Foundation
I have mentioned before that this foundation is a grower, not a shower. This gives medium coverage but leaves a very natural, skin like finish.

Cheryl Lashes by Eylure in 'Sexy Senorita'
These lashes are beauts and they actually look quite natural on the eyes. You can see me wearing them in this post and I have already bought a replacement pair! I am not a Cheryl fan but these new line of lashes all look really good, I have my eye on Girls Night next.

December was a fun but exhausting month and I am thoroughly enjoying my Christmas break! As well as my beauty favourites, I thought I would share a few of my highlights from the month.

The first being the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards. This was my first time attending the awards since starting my new job and it was such an amazing experience. To see the result of everyone's hard work was so inspiring and made me so proud to be a part of the Cosmo team.

Highlight of the night, McBusted!

Me and my friends had a lovely pre Christmas get together, where we all exchanged our Secret Santa presents and then had one too many in the pub!

Best Secret Santa present of all time?

And finally Christmas! My favourite time of year, I am sad that its almost over but already looking forward to next year! I had a pretty quiet Christmas at home with my family. Many, many pigs in blankets were consumed but to balance it all out I have had lots of long country walks! I don't think its exactly an even balance though ;)

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I'm avoiding all the New Year, New Me bull s*** for now!
