The Beauty Graveyard

I have managed to get through another big bag of beauty products. Time to share some quick reviews (well I will try to make them quick!)

If you haven't read one of my Beauty Graveyard posts before and you see a * next to a product that represents how many times that product has been in a Beauty Graveyard post before.
If you see a lot of *'s that means it must be good!

Aussie Mega Shampoo **** - Possibly the best shampoo I have ever tried. Fabulous for everyday washing if you suffer from greasy hair like me. Leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean.

Aussie Mega Instant Conditioner *** - Works perfectly with the shampoo, highly recommend

Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray - I have since got through a big massive bottle of this stuff. Gives your hair really natural body and waves without leaving any residue at all. You honestly cant tell there's anything in your hair, not like your typical sea salt spray. I love it, but hate the price (£18.00 for this little bottle!)

Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo - Pricey but I love how this leaves my hair feeling all bouncy and fresh! (I sound like I'm talking about Lenor!)

Bumble and Bumble Surf Creme Rinse Conditioner - This conditioner works really well with the shampoo as its not too heavy so it doesn't weigh down your hair but still gives it that moisture.

Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun Hydrating Tan Maintainer - I used to buy this stuff in bulk to use after my holidays I loved it that much. It gives your sun parched skin much needed moisture to help prevent or at least delay the dreaded peeling. It also works like a gradual tan to help boost and maintain your tan for longer. Make sure you wash your hands and be careful when applying though as it does contain a self tanner, so can leave you looking patchy if you're not careful.

Garnier Body Repair Anti-Dryness Restoring Moisturiser - Wow, a body moisturier that's not E45! My beloved E45 just wasn't cutting it so I decided to upgrade to something more heavy duty, plus this was on offer and for some reason the fact that it contains Maple Sap appeals to me. This is a bloody good moisturiser, really works and I notice a massive difference when using this.

Fearne Body Lotion and Body Wash - I really, really love Fearne Cotton. I hate the term "girl crush" *vom* but put it this way I either want to be her or be her best friend! These are from her Christmas sets that she does for Boots every year. I know Christmas sets can be a bit naff but I actually really love Fearnes range. The packaging which she designs herself is always really cool and the products are all good quality. I highly, highly recommend her nail polish sets. Great value for money and the colours and quality of the polish are amazing!

L'occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream - Not gonna lie, my feet ate like ruddy hoofs at the moment! This stuff feels so nice and refreshing when you put it on but it wasn't the miracle I was hoping for. At £19.00 its pretty pricey and I wouldn't buy it again.

Super Facialist by Una Brennan Neroli Firming Intense Facial Serum - I really enjoyed this serum, it felt very soothing on my skin and I also really liked the smell. While I cant really comment on the firming promises as my skin isn't really in need of that much firming, I would definitely purchase this again and try more things from the Una Brennan line.

REN Micro Polish Cleanser - This is a facial exfoliator which I had read absolutely nothing about before trying. I liked that it wasn't too gritty or harsh but I noticed no difference in my skin when using it and for £20.00 I would rather give something else a try.

L'oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - Love this stuff! Full review here

Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner * - I generally prefer acid like exfoliators to traditional gritty lotions, as I can actually notice a difference in my skin after use. I use this at night and in the morning my skin looks plumped and healthy.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish * - A product I always come back to, this is the cleanser that got me off makeup wipes.

OPI Alpine Snow - I love these mini bottles of OPI as you can actually finish them! Plus the gift sets make great presents. Alpine Snow is the best white polish I have found, good to go in 2 coats.

Bobbi Brown Almost Bare Perfume - Full review here this has quickly become my signature scent and I am already on my third bottle!

Jack Wills English Velvet Perfume ** - Another of my favourite perfumes, I wont attempt to describe it but its a nice comforting scent and quite unique.

Zoya Remove + *** - Call me a Drama Queen but I cant use any other nail polish remover except this. All others dry out my nails hideously, this doesn't at all plus it makes my nail polish last so much longer. When you paint your nails as much as I do, I can honestly say I have worn nail polish consistently for the last 4 years, you should invest in a nourishing nail polish remover!

Smashbox Photo Finisher Primer Light - Full review here I was actually pleasantly surprised at how long this diddy tube lasted me! I would buy again and have actually replaced this with their new anti blemish primer which I will review soon!

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder *** - Pretty impressive that I have got through three of these powders! I use this on top of foundation and it just gives my skin the most gorgeous glow.

DIOR Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen - I loved the coverage this gave under my eyes and it was actually a really great colour as it gave me a highlighted effect but didn't look artificial. However, I was pretty shocked this ran out as quickly as it did and at £26.00 that's a deal breaker. So many brands have their own versions of these pens and for a lot cheaper.

Illamasqua Brow and Lash Gel * - I always use this, you have seen it in a million face of the day posts but I just love it. Brushes your brows up and keeps them there a la Megan Fox.

Benefit They're Real Mascara ** - Another overpriced product but I love the effect of this so much that I'm prepared to pay the price. If you like Ardell's Demi Wispie's false eye lashes then you should try this!

Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray ** - I didn't realise just how much this spray had become a part of my routine until I got ready round my friends house for my birthday, forgot it and had a massive panic! Would not be without this, keeps my makeup on all day.

Using up makeup is almost as much fun as buying it....(I said almost!)

  1. How long does it take you to finish a bottle of perfume? Mine seem to last forever, I don't think I finished any this year :(
I live in Australia and haven't seen Aussie products, they look really promising.

    1. It depends on the perfume, I have this little roller ball of Tom Ford's Black Orchid which I have had for about 3 years but I can get through a bottle of that Bobbi Brown in a few months! I think its because I like to spray it on my scarf, so must waste it!x
